Recreational Gymnastics

Recreational Gymnastics

Our recreational gymnastics program is where fun meets skill-building! Athletes get to experience all four Olympic events—vault, bars, beam, and floor—through exciting stations and progressions designed to keep them moving, learning, and growing.

Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination while building confidence in a positive, encouraging environment. From running down the vault runway to swinging on bars, balancing on the beam, and tumbling across the floor, gymnasts discover what their bodies can achieve while having a blast!

Whether your child is trying gymnastics for the first time or loves chasing new skills, recreational gymnastics is the perfect place to make friends, stay active, and celebrate progress every step of the way!

BEGINNER

Beginner gymnastics is the perfect place to start your child’s journey in the sport! Gymnasts rotate through vault, bars, beam, and floor while learning the essential skills that build a strong foundation.

On floor, gymnasts practice forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, bridge kickovers, and round-offs. On bars, they work toward their first pullover, while beam focuses on balance and body control. Vault teaches the fundamentals of sprinting, jumping, and body control.

Classes are upbeat and encouraging, giving every gymnast the chance to gain confidence, strength, and coordination while celebrating each new milestone along the way.

Intermediate

Intermediate gymnastics is designed for athletes who have mastered beginner skills and are ready for the next challenge. To join this class, gymnasts must already have the basics, including rolls, cartwheels, handstands, round-offs, bridges, and a pullover on bars.

In this level, athletes begin learning more advanced skills across all four events:

  •   Floor: Back walkovers, back handsprings, and connected skill sequences
  •   Beam: Cartwheels, handstands, and longer balance combinations
  •   Bars: Back hip circles, stronger casts, and connected bar skills
  •   Vault: Running and jumping drills that lead into jump-to-handstand flatbacks and more powerful vaults

Classes remain fun, supportive, and structured while encouraging athletes to challenge themselves, build confidence, and refine technique as they prepare for higher-level skills.
